Today we begin our journey of peace.  We remember our loved ones and cherish these memories.  We begin anew with a spirit of forgiveness and charity.  Our walk will take us into a brighter tomorrow.  We will live a life full of joy and hope.  With thanksgiving we carry on united with one heart.

Reflection:  In SILENCE, listen to your heartbeat.  Listen to the sound of your breath. Realize the uniqueness of your humanity.

What role are you playing in spreading a culture of peace?

Write a letter to a loved one (living or deceased) and share how you will cultivate peace and unity in our world.

The Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.  AMEN.
